Today I will be sharing my top 3 favorite household cleaning products for the last few months. Then on Friday I will be sharing my top 3 kitchen tools/gadgets. I love seeing what people recommend.  I hope you enjoy these reviews and try some of the products. Lets begin...

Shout color catcher...


This product was brought to my attention by my sister Debbie. Wow what a God-send!! It really works. Just toss a sheet in the washer with each load. (I've even had a lone white sock washed with my red sheets and it came out just fine.) It's 24 sheets for around $3.75. Well worth the extra expense. Add it to you laundry routine today!! 

Method Granite cleaner....



My holy grail granite cleaner, hands down. It has a pleasant smell and leaves your granite looking clean and shiny. I spray on my granite then wipe dry with a micro-fiber cloth. Absolutely stunning. It's around $3.99 a bottle and can be purchased at most grocery stores. I get mine at Target.


My last favorite for this series is...Vinegar


White vinegar is a very effective ,consistently good cleaner. It works awesome on shower glass doors and windows. It also really cleans and shines up wood floors. The smell can be off putting but I must say it does dissipate so that makes it bearable. The cleaning effects outweighs the temporary smell, in my opinion. Take 2 parts water to 1 part vinegar and put in a spray bottle. It's non-toxic and environmentally safe.

Fried chicken I've had many requests from friends and family for my fried chicken recipe.  On the rare occasions that we had left-overs, Smokin would bring some to work to share with his friends.  The guys would practically fight each other for some. The key to my fried chicken is bacon fat!! You don’t need a whole lot but you need enough to flavor the frying oil.  So as much as it may stink you’re going to have to cook up bacon to save the fat. (life’s tough all over ;) If you need help eating the bacon I can come on over)  Also, I use boneless skinless chicken breasts that I’ve cut into strips because I don’t like the dark meat. However, If you do like the dark meat then I suggest boneless chicken thighs (with or without the skin).   However, this is so good you'll never miss the skin.  Soak your chicken (about 3 pounds) for about 1-2 hours in buttermilk.  You can skip this part but it makes the chicken so tender and juicy. Hot Dogs!!! Everyone loves a good hotdog and everyone has their favorite way of topping a hotdog. I am going to give you our family's top 3. There really isn't a 'wrong' way to top your hotdog. It's all by personal preference BUT if you are looking to mix things up a bit here are a few  alternatives. Also, I want to add that a good, quality hot dog is key to having great flavor! The Classic Chili Cheese dog kicked up a notch ... Being from Southern California we love a little heat in our foods. So take your grilled hot dog and... Place thinly sliced jalapeño and finely chopped onion on the dog  Top with your favorite chili (my homemade chili is a favorite but we ate it already so canned it is).  Instead of shredded cheddar try shredded pepper jack.   Place under broiler for a couple minutes till cheese has melted. Keep a constant eye on it so the bun doesn't burn. This has so much flavor and a nice, spicy kick from the jal

Chicken Love Soup I love scooping the soup up with these chips! Is there anything better than a nice warm cup of soup?  I love soup on a cold winter day. Snuggled up on the couch, watching a good movie, and enjoying a delicious cup of soup is a bit of heaven of earth, in my opinion. Only thing that would make it more cozy is big fluffy snow flakes falling outside.   My foodie friend Robyn is the inspiration for this yummy warming soup.
