Desert Island Makeup Must Haves

If I was stranded on a desert island what 3 make up items would I want? Every woman has seen a variation of this question. Of course each woman, for the most part, has an item or two that is their go to product even if it is just a ‘stay at home and chill’ kind of day.  Everyone’s 3 will vary but I always find it interesting to see what is people’s favorites. 

Here are mine…

Too Faced Better than Sex mascara ($23)

This product had me at hello. (Cue the cheesy Jerry Maguire movie reference). It lengthens and volumizes the lashes. Although using a lash curler helps any mascara ‘open the eyes’ more, this mascara can do the job quite well without the lash curler.  Its hourglass shape brush is what separates and coats the lashes to perfection. I have found it doesn't smudge and it stays on all day. I don’t use the waterproof one but it's available. 

Clinque Long Last Lipstick in Bamboo Pink ($17)

I love this lipstick so much I have 2 back ups. Yes, I know thats crazy right? I love the way this feels on my lips. It is silky feeling but not sticky. Bamboo Pink is a color that goes with everything; a pearlized, dusty pink that is soft and slightly shimmery. I'm not one that wants my lips to look like a disco ball so the shimmer is very slight but it does enhance your lips. I have seen this color on most every skin tone and to me it always looks stunning. The Long Last Lipstick soft shine formula wears well by keeping that 'just applied' look.  It doesn’t feather or dry out. To show you how much I love Bamboo Pink, I received my first one in a gift with purchase over 18 years ago. I’ve been keeping a tube on me ever since and although it isn’t the only lipstick I have, it is my ‘Holy Grail’.

Bosica B.B. Cream Light Broad Spectrum SPF 27 ($38)

Not only does this B.B. cream hydrate, smooth and firm your skin, it also has SPF protection.  Its packed with antioxidants and is designed to repair and protect the skin from future damage. I have found it to cause no skin irritation to my sensitive skin and love that this product has no parabens, sulfates or phthalates. It blurs skin imperfections and gives a flawless finish that leaves you saying 'WOW'!!
